Public Sector Consultants to health and social care organisations

Programme managed a countywide service integration programme for community health and social care services in a large shire county. Also undertook a similar role for a London Borough and PCT in inner East London.
Managed a high profile procurement programme for a Council in South Wales to find an independent sector organisation to take over the running of several residential care homes for older people, build new facilities in several locations in the Borough then transfer 200+ residents and staff into the new service. Managed a team of consultants, procurement experts, accountants and lawyers.
Since 1996, have undertaken numerous assignments in the field of NHS continuing healthcare for PCTs and SHAs. Projects ranged from providing training, establishing new work practices, developing criteria, establishing Panels, managing retrospective review cases for several PCTs and a period as interim CHC lead for an inner London PCT.
Developed a multi-agency physical activity strategy for a London Borough and PCT.
Evaluated a District Council's sheltered housing service and made recommendations to enable it to develop in collaboration with other health, social care and housing providers in the area.
Worked with a PCT and London Borough to integrate their adult commissioning functions and am now working to integrate their adults' services provider functions.
Worked with a charity in Essex to develop proposals to establish a new service to provide short term breaks for people with learning disabilities.
Worked with the Board of a specialist charity, which operates in the UK and Australia providing ulcer care, to review their strategies and business plans in light of changes to NHS commissioning arrangements in the UK.
