Co-ordinated the development of multi-agency and multi-professional out-of-hours services in a London Borough.
Established and led an independent unit on behalf of six Primary Care Trusts to review decisions regarding eligibility for continuing NHS care, following the recommendations of the Health Service Ombudsman’s report published in February 2003. Undertaken numerous other assignments in relation to NHS Continuing Healthcare, including the new national framework which was introduced in October 2007.
Undertook a scoping exercise of health and social care services for children with special needs in Romania to assist international donors (British Government, EU, World Bank) determine future funding strategies in this area.
Worked with NHS Direct’s senior management team across London to re-organise their management structures, roles, responsibilities and activities from a five site-based system to one, integrated set of management arrangements.
Developed a multi-agency physical activity strategy for a London Borough and PCT.
Evaluated a District Council’s sheltered housing service and made recommendations to enable it to develop in collaboration with other health, social care and housing providers in the area.
Worked with a PCT and London Borough to integrate their adult commissioning functions and am now working to integrate their adults’ services provider functions.
